What is Hydrogen?
Hydrogen is a device that generates hydrogen-rich water. It converts common water into antioxidant water (ionized water), that helps the body to neutralise free radicals and reduce the oxidation level.
Gaseous hydrogen, dissolved in water, is nature’s most powerful and smallest antioxidant. It goes where other antioxidants cannot, penetrating the neurons and cell nuclei. It is also a totally safe antioxidant, with no risk of overdose and no side effects.

Health is the balance between oxidation and antioxidants. If free radicals tip the scales towards oxidation, this causes oxidative stress, which is responsible of most diseases and premature ageing. Drinking hydrogen water helps to lower the body’s oxidation level, tipping the balance towards health.

In 1966, the Japanese Ministry of Health, Work and Welfare accepted that ionized water had health benefits and authorised domestic equipment for producing this water. In 1994, to encourage the use of ionized water in Japanese society, the Functional Waters Foundation was created with support from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Work and Welfare.

Oxidation is the main cause of acidification.
Hydrogen-rich water is an antioxidant and it prevents acidification to avoid oxidation, with the advantage of having a pH of 7 to 7.5, very similar to that of blood, and weak mineralisation, giving it the benefits of both “alkalizing water” and light water.
Hydrogen-rich water IS NOT THE SAME as “alkaline water”. The latter has high mineralization and its pH is above 8.5, so although it can help to neutralise acids in the body, it does not address the main cause, which is oxidation. The drawback is that the minerals present in the water are not organic and excessive amounts of these is not recommended in the long term.
